The door has tempered glass, which is 5 times stronger than ordinary glass. Even if the glass is accidentally broken, it will crumble into small pieces that are not dangerous.
By default, the door is supplied right-handed, but it can be easily made left-handed on-site using the instructions supplied with the door.
There is a distance of 21mm from the bottom edge of the glass to the bottom edge of the door frame. This distance is made so that there is sufficient ventilation in the sauna. If desired, you can independently set the appropriate threshold for this distance, provided that there is a separate air flow in the sauna.
In contrast to a wood relative, a glass door offers a number of advantages that require detailed examination:
- Resistance to decay and corrosion, which is important when installing doors in saunas with high humidity.
- Guarantee of geometric shapes regardless of temperature differences and the influence of other negative factors. The glass structure does not swell or shrink.
- Compliance with all hygiene and safety standards. Since the sauna is a wellness place, the main condition is to minimize possible breeding grounds for fungi and mold.
- Fire resistance. Compliance with all fire safety standards is a big plus as there is a sauna heater nearby.
- Long lifetime. Due to the lack of the influence of adverse environmental factors, glass structures regularly serve their owners for several decades.
- Aesthetics and ease of care. With a damp cloth and household chemicals, you can quickly and independently restore the door structure to its original appearance.
- The transparency of the glass lets a lot of light into the sauna, which saves energy and money on lighting.
